2000 years before Christ, Abraham and his family lived in Mesopotamia.
His father Thera, an idolatrous polytheist, devoutly manufactures quantities of statuettes representing the pagan gods. One day, Abraham, driven by heavenly energy, gets carried away and take the risk of destroying the idols exhibited in the paternal shop. So! He hears a voice coming from above, that of the Lord advises him to leave the region at once. Monotheism is born.
Abraham immediately sets out with his wife Sarah, his staff, friends, and what to subsist … Saddened by the disappearance of his brother Haran who entrusted him his son Lot before dying, quarreled with his second brother Nahor after a big argument, and yet happy to go on an adventure, he soon moved to the land of Canaan.
Miracle! The Voice of the Lord speaks to him whom he has mission-ed as his representative here below:
“To you and to your descendants after you, I will give the land where you are staying, all the land of Canaan, in possession for ever, and I shall be your God.”
And behold, God revealed Himself to Abraham. Everything is as it should.
His barren wife Sarah, unable to offer him the descendants envisioned by the Lord, is pragmatic enough to accept a surrogate mother. Abraham is 86 years old when Agar, the Egyptian servant gives birth to her eldest son, Ishmael.
Sarah showing little gratitude to Agar, she escapes with her son. But God does not hear it so, He demands from Sarah, who obeys Him, her apologies to the maid.
To reward Sarah, God, with a celestial embrace, gives the almost centenary couple a son: Isaac, a Jew circumcised as – henceforth – will be all the boys of the Jewish people.
Life is organized in Canaan, rites are set up, prayers, sacrifices, Kosher meal and as God Himself did, when the third star appears, on the seventh day of the week, silence : we stop going about our daily lives, to devote our time to prayer, reading and reflection. Shabbat will now be followed in recognition of the creation of the world by God.
However, the Eternal, insatiable, to put the faith of Abraham to the test imposes on him the sacrifice of Isaac. Here they went to Mount Moriah with sheep and servants. Isaac accepts to be offered as a holocaust by his father. But … Divine overthrow: when Abraham raises his arm to execute his son, the Celestial Angel, an envoy of God, stops his hand.
In gratitude, Abraham sacrificed a ram that “by chance” was there. However, the Eternal, insatiable, to put the faith of Abraham to the test imposes on him the sacrifice of Isaac. In this blessed place, Solomon, first king of the Jews, promoter ‘avant-garde’, will build the foundations of the temple around which Jerusalem, Holy City and Jewish, will be built.
Thank you, God. Nevertheless … The price is heavy to pay. All crowd at the gates of the city. It’s not big but sumptuous, admiration is breathtaking. Alas, the majestic beauty of Jerusalem and the spirituality that emanates from it, generate envy.
La Rochefoucauld says: “Envy is more irreconcilable than hatred.
Our eyes meet, filled with the history of Jerusalem:
“Tell me, my dear Ashkenazi, is anti-Semitism born of this? Are the 541 anti-Semitic acts enumerated in France in 2018 related to the recognition of God to the obedience of Abraham? The phobia of Judaism is damn solid!
– Of course, there is a connection, my little goy darling! To conquer the Kingdom of Israel is more than a territorial conquest, it is also to affirm its superiority over the unique God of the Jews. Insult, assault, murder the Jews is the continuation of barbarian and intolerant invasions of differences. This is the dress rehearsal of criminal racism.
